Description
Go Compose – ‘On the Street’ is a PowerPoint resource for primary music, designed for children aged 5–8 years. It provides approximately 20 minutes of structured lesson content within a 30–40 minute weekly lesson and is intended to be delivered as a 6-week block (or longer).
This step-by-step composing activity uses voice, body percussion and untuned instruments to create an ‘On the Street’ sound picture.
The PowerPoint includes supporting notes on each slide to guide lesson delivery, making it easy to use for both specialist and non-specialist teachers.
Through this theme, pupils are encouraged to explore, create and develop their own musical ideas using imagination, listening skills and simple composition techniques.
